We are a small business
offering professional, affordable, electrical equipment testing.

The Health & Safety
Executive states that twenty-five (25) percent of all reportable electrical
accidents involve portable electrical appliances. The Electricity at Work
Regulations and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations place a
legal responsibility on employers, employees, and self-employed persons to
comply with the provisions of the regulations and take reasonably practicable
steps to ensure that no danger results from the use of such equipment. This in
effect requires the implementation of a systematic and regular program of
maintenance, inspection, and testing.

The most efficient
way to produce documented records of maintenance, inspection and testing is by
PAT testing your electrical equipment.

 

We are based in
Harrogate, North Yorkshire and covers all areas within a reasonable traveling distance.

We will ensure that all inspection and testing of electrical
equipment is carried out on a regular basis in line with the IEE Code of
Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.

How we charge: 

Call Out 

£1.00 per item

Minimum charge £30 (if based in Harrogate
Area). 

Getting a Quote: Simply
call me (07530 225 339) and I will provide you with an estimated price over the
phone

Being a ‘canny Scotsman’, I will try to ensure, where
possible, that if for some reason one of your appliances does need one of the dreaded
‘DO NOT USE’ or
‘FAILED’ labels, we could with a minor
repair to make it compliant –e.g. – replace a fuse, fit a new plug, or replace a
damaged cord. These minor repairs can be done at a minimal cost – much better (and
cheaper) than having to replace the item and much more sustainable for the environment
– must do our bit to Save The Planet.

We also offer a Drop in Service

If you can drop your items into our premises in Harrogate,
we charge just £1.00 per item, with a minimum charge of £10. 

Please note that the drop-in service is run as a cost saving
service to people who don’t have many items, as such it is not economical to
book a normal callout, it is simply a case of calling 20 minutes before you are
looking to head over, check that there is someone here, and then head on over.
